Thomastik PI02 Peter Infeld A Violin 4/4

The Peter Infeld (Pi) «La/A» is neutral in sound whilst being quite powerful, smooth, and colourful. The Pi unfortunately did not work on my neutral-warm 1905 German violin, which sounded pale when compared to a Dominant «La/A». I mixed the Pi basses with Domant «La/A» and got a much fuller sound overall. I hear the Vision Solo is a good replacement for this Pi string if your instrument likes this tension, but I have left Pi for Larsen Virtuoso and have far more colours and resonance than with the Thomastik strings.
