Thomastik BB112

These Thomastik strings are a treat for any Jazz player. I bought a few sets and I loved them from the mement I hit my first chord. The tone is round and strong in the fundamental with not that many overtones that -in jazz- can sometimes get in the way.
Built-quality is exceptional and the tone is rich, dark yet clear and velvety. I tried them in a Gibson solid body with outstanding results: I imagine that in hollow and semi-hollow guitars they sound even better.
The only thing that is slightly problematic is the price. They are expensive and other manufacturers produce similar products for less money. Still, these strings are great and if you play jazz and you can afford them these might be your strings.
