I am a Brassband Cornettist who got into Symphonic repertoire a few years ago and along my Bb Trumpet i wanted to give a C Trumpet a go for ease of transposition and a slightly brighter sound that comes with smaller horns.
Usually they go for around 1.5k and more for the ultra prof ones.
I stumbled across this one for 298€ (here in Belgium) i thought i'd give this a try as i heard the cheaper (chinese stencils) where getting better now in this time, and also being surprised by my rather student geared Bb from Jupiter. When i got this one i immediately was blown away by the sound! How powerful it was! (Note that i'm using a fairly expensive Marcinkiewicz Symphonic series MP) and for this price range this Trumpet is nuts for how good it sounds. It has a few rough edges on the MP shank receiver and the valve-tuningslides feel abit coarse but other then that what a fantastic horn! Valves took a week to run smoothly, fairly good compared to my way more expensive Besson Bb and Eb Cornets. I am very happy with this instrument and i will definitely be buying again from here. Kind regards MB.
