Building blocks for sonic discovery
The Thomann TRCB-13 Rainbow Chime Bars are designed for early musical education in daycare centres, primary school music lessons, and music therapy, and they offer a simple and engaging way for children to explore the basics of music. Their clear layout and distinctive colour scheme make it easy for children to get started quickly, encouraging them to experiment, play independently, and develop their musical understanding with guidance from parents, carers, or teachers. The set includes 13 chime bars covering a range from C2 to F3, including F#2 and A#2. It also comes complete with 13 mallets and a practical carry bag for convenient storage and transport.

Colour coded to aid the learning process
Thomann's TRCB-13 Rainbow Chime Bars offer a useful alternative to a traditional glockenspiel, as the individual chime bars can be arranged freely to create customised note sequences for practising specific scales and developing the musical ear in a focused way. Each pitch is colour-coded, with the same notes in different octaves sharing the same colour, which makes it easier to recognise and follow the notes while playing. This flexible design allows children and beginners to explore different note combinations and practise in a simple, intuitive way.

Musical education for children
The Thomann TRCB-13 Rainbow Chime Bars are simple, accessible instruments that are well suited to introducing children of daycare and primary school age to the basics of music, and they provide parents, educators, and teachers an easy and enjoyable way to encourage children to explore sounds, learn musical fundamentals, and gradually discover the joy of making music. Their robust construction is designed to withstand everyday use, so even accidental drops should not affect the sound or cause damage to the chime bars.

About Thomann percussion instruments
In addition to products from more renowned companies, Thomann now also dedicates a large proportion of its range to instruments that bear the store’s own brand name and are manufactured by well-known and long-established companies. These include percussion instruments – from shakers and cajons through to handpans and drums authentically made in Africa – that offer an unbeatable price-performance ratio and are the perfect choice for students, beginners, and many others. These are characterised by features and materials normally found at much higher price points as well as by a thoroughly convincing sound.
Perfect for group playing
The Thomann TRCB-13 Rainbow Chime Bars make it easy for several children to play music together, providing a simple way to accompany parents, daycare staff, or teachers on guitar or piano. With 13 mallets included, the set is also well suited to larger groups, allowing each child to take part and play their own notes. Unlike a fixed glockenspiel, the individual chime bars offer greater freedom of movement, as children can hold a sound block in their hand, move naturally with the music and strike the note with the mallet at the appropriate moment.
