Unlikely to fit any model of saxophone
Ambercap 23.06.2020
I bought this for use on a Yamaha Alto sax and a Yanagisawa Tenor. The clip barely manages to fit onto the alto sax and then promptly pops off, and absolutely cannot fit onto the tenor. This is because the bell of a sax is curved and has a lip on the outside edge, while this clip is made to fit onto a perfectly flat, thin surface without any lip. I have to assume the designer of this clip has seen very few saxophones in his/her life.

If the side profile of this clip was curved with a larger rounded out section to accommodate the lip, instead of being rectangular in shape, and if the slot were a bit deeper, it would have worked.

I ordered this clip together with lots of other equipment and paid a lot for shipping. I would like to try the Universal clip instead but to pay EUR70 for shipping on a clip worth only EUR13 is just not practical so now I am really stuck!

An absolutely useless design! A large disappointment.

Buy the Universal Clip for Sax
Macs 66 29.01.2018
Due to the previous negative reviews for this item, I checked with Thomann before ordering that it had been revised. I was told it had. Just to be sure - I also ordered the Universal Clip. Upon taking the Sax Clip out of the box, both rubber feet simply slipped off the clip, I pushed them back on and fitted it to my sax. I was not satisfied that it was providing a good, secure grip on the horn. I switched over to the Universal Clip and was immediately impressed with its simplicity and security of grip. The Sax Clip will have to be returned.

Useless and non-functional - waste of time and money
KeithW 21.07.2014
This is the first really badly designed item I have had in 20 years from thomann.
It is hard to fit on any sax. The clip is on a hair trigger and springs off without any movement or provocation. It is even worse with the mic in place and it is impossible to place in a functional position without it detaching itself and the mic, both ending up dangling or on the floor. Whoever designed and approved this never tried to gig it with a sax. We are currently exploring whether thomann have an alternative that works. Our sax player has 4 sax's and we tried it on all of them with the same outcome. I think it is back to the drawing board on this one.

This is not a sax clip!
Robzzzzzzz 03.11.2021
I bought this clip for my alto sax, since it was advertized as a ... sax clip. Don't make the same mistake!
It doesn't fit well (tried it on several saxophones), it doesn't dampen the sounds of your keys and nevertheless they dare to ask 17 euro for this small piece of rubber.

Useless

This clip is completely and utterly useless. I'm surprised such a piece of crap is even on the market. It doesn't clip on to the saxophone very well and is prone to falling off. Definitely not suitable for gigs if you plan on moving at all. I recommend the t-bone universal clip, it it much better for sax.

not that i expected

first- the concept itself works disgustingly - all the knocks of the valves grab the microphone. I'm always afraid that the microphone will fall. I bought a universal clip and all the problems are gone
