the t.akustik ISO-Pad 6

These pads do the job they're intended for - they soak up surplus vibrations from any monitor or speaker they're placed under. I bought these pads to use with a pair of KRK RoKits and they are entirely suitable - the perfect size and depth for these monitors.

I like that the pad comes in two separate pieces, which means our monitors or speakers can get tilted and adjusted as you please. The two parts can be used together or separately, depending on your requirements, which is a cool feature.

The quality of the foam that the pads are made from is good, the pads are very thick and strong. They absorb vibrations and sound very well, which was important to me living in close proximity to some non-music lovers!

The only negative I could find with these pads is that the label printed with the thomann brand name came off each pad within days of their arrival. After several attempts to stick these labels back onto the pads they just wouldn't stick! Perhaps the brand name should be printed on each pad, or the sticker left out altogether.

The pads are a good colour and will blend into any studio setting. They are subtle and don't take away from the monitors that they're designed to serve.

All in all these are good, inexpensive pads and I would recommend them.

Great for tilting monitors towards your ears when installed on desk
Anonymous90 05.04.2022
Just some pieces of foam, but they do what they're supposed to do. The triangular shapes give two options: put both on top of each and it simply raises the speaker, giving less contact with the desk and thus avoiding unwanted resonance. Or use one pad for each monitor and you can angle it, like I do.

Useful

More functional than flashy as it's essentially just thick studio foam but from a practical side they're actually useful as they genuinely do a decent job at decoupling your speakers from the surface they're on allowing you to hear your speakers more accurately.

Good affordable and durable
Thomas Eco 26.12.2020
I bought those pads for my desktop monitors (JBL 305). I use them for over two years now.
They provide decent isolation from vibrations so I can hear more clearly what is happening in my low end, without much interference from my desk surface.
Good quality, handy dimensions for use with near-field monitors.
Not for heavy ones tho. They are soft and they can't support enough heavy monitors.
I didn't use the sticks with Thomann logo. The glue on them seems to be too weak to last.
Overall good and affordable solution if you have speakers on your desk surface.

Not bad for price

These pads isolate vibrations like they should.

You can set your speakers at an angle with these pads, as they have a removable wedge.

They don't look or feel especially great, but they get the job done. Please note that the number behind the name (in this case 6) is not an indicator for how big speakers you can place on these. My first idea was that ISO-Pad 5 should be enough for 5" speakers, but after checking the dimensions it turned out they're too small, so I got the ISO-Pad 6 that fits nicely.

If your're looking for speaker stands with a nice design get something else, as these don't look that great in my opinion. They work like intented though.

Great acoustics!
Smith_ 26.12.2021
These pads has made my setup more neutral when it comes to monitoring and mixing. The provide close to no resonance in the desk which risks my mix becoming bad and unbalanced. They are a little bit brittle and the foam chips quite easily if not handled with care.

But overall a great product!

Foam pads for studio monitos

Made to fit the base of nearfield monitors, i use them with my Yamaha HS7 and they work nicely. Sadly the material rips easily if pinched.

Does the job
alpush 07.12.2018
I bought these along with Neumann KH120a monitors. It stays on top of my homemade wooden monitor stands. Since my desk and the stands are wooden, my desk was rumbling a little without this pad. The rumble wasn't something that kills the sound in the room but every little detail helps, especially if it is this affordable.

The foam is well made, not even a little shape deformation occurred in 6 months of use with 6.2kg monitors.

The angle fits my workspace perfectly by directing the tweeters towards the sweet spot, which is a nice improvement in my setup.

The looks are ok.

Pros:
Cheap,
Durable,
Good quality

Cons:
The thomann sticker came out as soon as it came out of the box.
Not the most handsome item in my desk but still can't complain with this price.

In general, if you need to uncouple your monitors from your desk/stand/floor and give them a little angle, buy them.
