Inaccurate.
RoadRunnersDust 06.11.2018
The scale on the front says 57dB for full-scale deflection. In reality it only takes a signal difference of about 6dB to go from nothing to all LEDs lit.

I had to build and install a calibration board inside the unit in order to make it show a true 57dB difference across the meter.

OTHERWISE, the unit is fantastic and performs its purpose brilliantly now the aforementioned issue was rectified.

Good enough

Build quality is good, the VU METER works but it's nothing you can trust. It shows just few db and it takes a signal of few DB to go from nothing to all leds, while the scale on the front says 57dB for full-scale deflection.
For the price It's hard to get something better.
It's far to be a "needed gear" to improve your studio.

S
Accurate and Easy-to-Use dB Meter for Studio Monitoring
Speedyd1 24.12.2025
I used the T-Racks dBMeter to measure sound levels in my studio and during live setups, and overall it delivered reliable, accurate performance with minimal fuss. The dBMeter is straightforward to operate with a clear, easy-to-read display. It consistently gave accurate readings, which helped me make informed decisions about monitoring levels and room calibration. The design feels solid, and it’s compact enough to fit into any setup without getting in the way.

I particularly liked how it responds quickly and doesn’t bounce around excessively, which is useful when monitoring in real time. The controls are intuitive, so I was able to start using it right away without needing to dig into the manual.I’m very happy with the T-Racks dBMeter. It’s accurate, reliable, and easy to use—whether in a studio environment or for live sound checks. I’d recommend it to anyone who needs a dependable sound level meter without complications.
