Brilliant for the price
These speakers blew me away when I hooked them up. I was surprised by the amount of bass they have, although it's not enough for a disco or band for example (but this is to be expected). The quality at loud volumes is great with little to no distortion when you really push them. I'm not an audiophile so I can't give too much detail about specific sound characteristics, but as soon as I heard them I knew I'd be using them a lot for bands, discos, weddings and even outdoor events when I buy a few more!
The mounting is extremely versatile with M10 threads on all sides where the bottom one can be removed to reveal a standard speaker pole mount. They are quite heavy for their size though so you do need to be mindful of what you're mounting them on/to. Speaking of eight, although they surprised me with how heavy they are, they are easily manageable and the weight actually makes them feel a lot more expensive than they are!
They have a speakon/NL4 input and output along with screw terminals which I don't plan to use but I can imagine being handy for installations. And Thomann also sell very reasonably priced brackets for both horizontal and vertical mounting which again would be perfect for installations and even gigging!
Overall these are possibly the best 'cheap' speakers I have ever bought and I'm already planning setups and configurations to use them with. I definitely plan to buy more.

Thomann have a winner with these...
Use:
I use these speakers mainly as relay speakers in larger venues teamed up with the main FOH Rig by RCF. I also use these speakers for small acoustic gigs where I put vocals / acoustic guitars and some percussion through them. Sometimes doubled up with a subwoofer.
These speakers are very clear in the low mid to high range. I would suggest doubling them up with a subwoofer if you are looking for low end. I cannot complain about the sound from these speakers, they always produce a great sound and really help to raise the clarity further back in a tent or venue.
You get a speakon connecter in and also an unaltered thru connector to daisy chain the speakers.
One very nice feature is that of the pole mounts for connections so if you do decide to use these in an installation you have the option for both.
I really like the feature of using either a speaker pole or mic stand for the mounting of these speakers.
Great job Thomann once again...

Small but powerfull speakers
I bought 8 of these to use in a small auditorium for 150 people as a surround sound installation. I bought the wall mounts as well and a couple of Achat 112 subwoofers. These are not cinema type speakers but I took the chance and was not disappointed. The dispersion was the only concern I really had, and luckily the 90° x 90° seems to be adequate for this room. Doing a fixed installation I was pleased that the speakers had the "old school" feature of binding posts connections too.
I guess this is not how most people will use these speakers. But if I was to use these speakers on the road I would not be worried. They are very well build and for their size I would call the quite heavy. In fact I felt a little bad mounting something this sturdy on the wall out of harms way. They where clearly made for a life filled with much more action and excitement than I intended for them.
The sound is, as I said, clear and they can get loud as well. When it comes to bass they have more than I expected. They will however need a subwoofer if you want to fill the dance floor. If all you need is a PA for speaking/singing or light music they will do just fine on their own.
Being 8 ohms speakers some will appreciate the dual speak-on (or dual binding posts) connection. It would be very easy to connect 2 speakers in series that way.

speaker guy
i have installed these speakers on a beach side restaurant working 6 months a year outdoors in the elements and have not had any issues. Value for money sound quality is good client is very happy with results ,starting on their 6 years of operation and i have not needed to replace any components, they are driven using tamp amplifiers and achat dsp24s. i highly recommend them for small venues such as cafes and restaurants they do have a small punchy low end but highly recommended to use with the achat single 12 or 15 inch subs perfect combination. I have had no issues with paint work and the front grills have lasted longer than more expensive brands. Rain , Sand, salty air have not caused any damaged apart from the necessary coat of paint. Speakon connections still in good shape .

Amazing!
I have 2 of these speakers and to say their good is an understatement. They are amazingly brilliant. Used for many events indoor and outdoor and they sound amazing and can get quite loud. Their light and portable and can be used as floor monitors due to their design which is fantastic. The 6inch drivers are more than adequate for whatever you throw at them, whether its music or vocals they sound sharp.
They are so good I shall be purchasing 2 more very soon to add to my stock.

Achat 206
I bought 2 of these last year to see what they are like and was very impressed with them I fly them high as a front feed for the small festival tents I do and they have made a huge difference, giving extra help to the back half of the tents. I particularly like the fact that you can use an M10 thread/bolt or if you take the bottom plate off you have a normal speaker pole top hat. They were so good I have just bought another 6 so this season I can fly 4 pairs at my events. They also match up with the Achat 12" subs and I use them for small solo gigs as they sit well on the pole screwed into the subs. Great value for money and very easy to transport I also bought the brackets so that I can hang them vertically.

Good sound, awesome build quality
Good sound awesome build quality for a very decent price, don't expect ground shaking bass from this type of speaker but even in the low range they don't really dissapoint me.
They are well equipped with stand flange 36 mm and m10 screw mounts for wall mounting.
I recommend.

Great sounding little speakers
For their size these little boxes really sound great. I use them as fill speakers under balconies in theatres and they more than keep up with the main speakers.
