For Bass
From a bass player comparing the Bose S1 the MBA1... the MBA1 handles bass better. Still its easy to overdrive the speaker if not careful. Same can be said for the Bose though. At a comparative volume level though the MBA1 has a deeper cleaner tone for bass.
A normal acoustic guitar I would use the Bose....bass I would use the MBA1.
Would be nice to see more of these kind of battery cabs dedicated to bass though.... and not just for guitar

Some features are good, some are not
Got this today. I was happy hot this sounds (good for guitar, good for bass, not so good for vocals), however, there are some little things to be considered.
Line inputs are not for use - even with maxed out knobs, there is no good signal to process. So 1 and 2 channel must operate in "mic" mode for 20db + to get some normal sound out of the speaker.
I am a singer too, and I really hate, when is no ordinary nice reverb on mic channel. There is some low quality fast echo, which sounds like something from 1970s....
And another thing - I suspect there something wrong with my unit, because the distinctive noise coming from speaker (hiss, white noise), even with everything off ...
Anybody got the same problem?

A versatile spkr for small gigs
All I hoped for was something to add a little power and bass end to my portable dps, but I got much more: Battery power, mic inputs, reverb and bluetooth are delightful extras, and the weight is very manageable too. I can't say about battery life yet - it's too soon. Happy customer.
