Who needs products like these? Not me!
Unpacked, tried to install bluethooth on channel 9/10. Connexion established but no sound. Got chatGPT to help. 3 hours later chatGPT gave up and me too. The only way to hear what is coming into the board via bluetooth was to route the signal to Mains. Channel 9/10 assign doesn't work. chatGPT gave me a last advice: send that scrap back.
The software employed with this Tascam mixer throws me 20 years back. It's total desaster but perfect if you like to scroll through menus, submenus, back and forth, left, right and center. In the meantime you don't make music. You try to find the missing link, the magical hidden door to get it to work as it should! I mean, I didn't ask for too much, just wanted the bluetooth stream on channel 9/10 as indicated by Tascam. Ok, 20 years ago companies might have got away with this user unfriendly nonsense. But today ? My money merits better engineered products than these. Designed to make musicians play. Not to spend their time chasing software rainbows. Thomann accepted the return and I get my money back. I ordered instead a Mackie Onyx 8. It's kind of simple and stupid and it has not all the features I need, but at least: It's of some use.
