good monitor
I was ready to buy Yamaha monitors, but a sound engineer, a friend of mine, encouraged me to choose tannoy. At first, i felt sucker because they are pretty stiff, not so loud But! Whatever i mix with them is what i hear (at 70%) from any kind of speaker later. That is huge for me. I heard my mix from big speakers, with headphones, in the car ,from my laptops speakers, with small cheap speakers. Everytime the basic sound shape was there at scale. You can realy hear with them what you really mix. I gess bigger wofer (502, 802) will increase volume as well. For my 25 square meter studio 402 are just fine.

Best price/performance ratio by far
For the price you won't get better monitors. Small enough to fit on any desk, fitted for small rooms with enough power to handle all the range (bass, middle, treble) you need.
I use it for (home) practising w. my bass (4 and 5 string) connected to Steinbergs UR 22MKII. Very satisifed!

Tiny Tannoy Reveals
When I first saw these in the box I couldn't believe how small they were but immediately realised when I felt the weight of one unit that they weren't toy (computer)speakers.Good looking if not a little plasticky Couldn't wait to connect them up.
I ran them straight away on a Minibrute synth through a Behringer analog mixer and was very surprised to hear how they delivered incredibley tight low end bass lines.The brute loved 'em.Only one problem at a particular mid range frequency there seemed to be a slight buzzing coming from one of the monitors.I thought oh no!Here we go ..I mean they sound awesome (ok for the price and size am not comparing them to larger JBLs or Adams or whatever), and I dont want to have to send 'em all the way back to Germany before I even get started so I thought just give am a week then ring up if it continues.Yeah you guessed it I've put all sorts of frequencies through them Drum machines guitar and the only thing rattling has been my room!
Ok to be honest you wont get much Sub(I use my headphones for this) and the low end timing can be a bit slow" compared" to the EXCELLENT clarity at higher frequencies but if you alter the settings on the back (High cut-Neutral -High boost) this can be improved.They really punch above their weight in Quality and Price and as long as I never here that buzz again for a small studio I recommend them.Grab a pair.

Great value and sound
I´ve had these for many years now and I think they sound great. They are small and have a clear sound to them. There are different options in terms of inputs but XLR is the way to go.

Great Quality for the price
I love these speakers for my basic sound editing at home. However they can be a little noisy in a very quiet room, so I do have to turn them off when they're not in use. (although that's also being a good human by not wasting power too!)

Great compact monitors
These have served brilliantly for the time I've had them, currently used in a home studio set up. They are being sent back currently for a repair but hopefully once that's sorted they'll be back in working order and straight back to work!
The sound is surprisingly good for the speaker sizes, and the added features on the back are very useful. If you are after something with more punch i would go for the bigger size speakers. However these suffice for my needs perfectly. Highly recommended!

Top Quality monitor!! Recommended for desktop use.
If you like to have HI-FI sound on your desktop this near-field monitor, in this price range is hard to beat!
Crystal clear higs, little laid back mids. Bass is amazing for this size of boxes.
For my room, even to much bass as I have wood floor, no concrete!
Bass is tight, rounded, just bit too loud for my liking.
Boxes are heavy, well made and beautiful.
Drawback-blue led light is very bright for overnight.
If you like to have HI-FI sound on your desktop this near-field monitor, in this price range is hard to beat!

Tannoy reveal 402
I got these as a pair in a bundle for my home studio, they maybe small but the sound is much larger, I also like the fit & finish & would describe them as well made & good quality. I expect them to last very well. I would happily recommend them.
