Beautiful snare, not just a default choice
The snare is a match for the MSL set, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s an ‘meh’ option. The snare is responsive and behaves well across a range of tuning and head types. I particularly like it with a tight hybrid or at the other end of the scale with a hydraulic for a really fat sound. Very versatile and good value for the money. Excellent quality hardware like the whole Tama Starclassic range, especially the snare throw off.
