Excellent value

The only place we can have our upright piano is a small dining room that has hard floors, two large glass doors and no soft furnishings. As a result, it’s almost painful to play because the noise is so uncontrolled and the reverberations so harsh.
Found one of these at Thomann and was immediately struck by the (comparatively) low price compared to most other acoustic treatments. I ordered one and am pleasantly surprised at how well put together it is and how good a job it does of damping down some of the reverb. This and a set of acoustic tiles have made it a pleasure to play the piano again.

My own modular Vocal Booth
R.Young 05.03.2026
I wanted to purchase a budget vocal booth for doing Voiceover work and was debating between the one of the 2 T.akustik options. One of them was all foam, the other was made of PET panels. After doing a lot of research, I realized that PET panels were much more effective to dampen reflections and sound vs foam. My only problem was that the T.Akustik PET vocal booth was too big for my space. My solution was to purchase 3 of these folding panels to surround my mic and create my own modular booth. I have an Isovox Go where my NT-1 resides, then these surround that with moving blankets on the ground to absorb floor reflections. I could lay another one of these over the top to catch ceiling reflections but that isn't a problem I'm having right now. All in all, it works amazingly. It's no soundproof WhisperRoom but it definitely muffles outside sound and totally creates that reflection dead zone for crisp, clean vocals. I can't imagine it getting much better outside of spending thousands more euro.

Why did I not buy this before?

Super useful in the home studio. It blocks the sound really well. Two of these and you almost have a vocal booth. It helps for vocals and acoustic guitar, etc, etc, etc. and you can put in the corner of the room when not in use.
I should have bought this years ago.

Amazing

Can't believe how massive they are in real life, and how good the absorption is compared to the cheap acoustic foam I've used for years. The fact that they're mobile is really useful too, can experiment with placement and remove entirely if the room isn't a dedicated studio room.

Great for flexibility
Christopher70 25.02.2024
I bought 2 of these and they are great. It provides a lot of flexibility in a small home recording space . I can use them round a singer or instrument and also as panels when mixing

Good value hinged sound absorption panels . Perfect for behind a drum kit (or in front of the drum kit if you don’t want to look at the drummer ?)

Surprisingly Effective – Worth Every Cent
Iustin Galea 29.05.2025
My home studio has lots of windows, so recording acoustic instruments has always been tricky. I was skeptical about acoustic panels, especially at this price, since DIY options are cheaper β€” but once you try these, there’s no going back. Totally recommended. They completely transform the space.
