I bought this to match my Stork Vacchiano 1.5B trumpet mouthpiece, to guarantee easy instrument changes mid-show. The rim match is obviously helpful, and for me it's an easy mouthpiece to play. It's not quite right for achieving the smoky jazz sound often desired on the flugel but if you play a big mouthpiece already, and want something that will feel comfortable and get you the notes you want when you need them, this will certainly do the job.
