Fab unit but lacks flexibility
The quality of light output is almost breathtaking( maybe too bright for the folks at smaller venues). They are very small and easy to transport but pack a big punch. The major issue I have with them is the sound activated program is fairly fast with no control. The slowest program only starts slow and cycles through and ends up like a glastonbury headliner. So you will need the controller to stop it really. Or some kind of DMX control. Otherwise excellent.
Edit after a few years use. The light quality really enhances a show. I really like the slow fade through the colours effect. It provides great atmosphere. All I had to do to control it was buy the £8 infa red remote control. I can stop and start it with this from mixer position.
They are very compact also. Brilliant

Powerful rig
I've been used this few about a dozen gigs so far and it's been great.
The lights are powerful and you can manually position each one to give a broad spread. The presets are handy and give you a good range of light settings too.
If the user interface was a bit more straight forward that would be great, as it took me a while to get to get the hang of it!
At the moment I only have one unit, but you can daisy chain these easily with a kettle lead, I also use the foot pedal so I can change the light settings whilst playing which is really handy!

Don't let the photos fool you
I haven't checked the measurements of this before ordering, because it looked big and powerful in photos. It was actually very small in size when they came. Despite that, these are still very powerful.

Happy with the product, instructions could be made easier. Lead is too short. very well built. Casing is very good. Would recommend.

Better than the old version
After buying and returning three sets of the original version, I opted for the COMPACT version. Still incredibly powerful lights, easy to set up, and the cables seem to be much more durable. The only problem I've had in 10 months, is the Blue LEDs on one lamp have stopped working. I am fed up of returning stuff to Thomann, so I am just putting up with it. Easy to program via DMX too.
