Super strong case, although has restrictions...

Don't get me wrong, this is an exceptional flightcase, however, I'd bought this for my 5 string Sandberg (with the G tuning peg on the underside of the headstock) and upon placing it in, the tuning peg has to be gently manueoved into position and always leaves me feeling uneasy.
If your tuning pegs are all in-line, or you have a 4-string, it is great! If, like me, you have a 5 string with offset tuning pegs, it might be one to avoid unless you're prepared to take a sharp intake of breath every time you place your bass guitar inside.
Inner lining is nice, plenty of room for strap, leads, DI box, tuner etc. Handle and latches are plastic, but feel very secure; my guitarist thinks it looks like a sniper rifle case, which always makes me smile.
My rating is high because I am happy with it, but a slight modification from SKB would make it even better.

A friend borrowed this case from me to transport his prized Lakland Bob Glaub to Germany from the UK for a festival he was playing. The case travelled in the hold and was returned to me with no new marks on it whatsoever!
It does have some cool stickers on it now though :)

The locks and clasps are sturdy and my old p-basses are thoroughly safe when transported in it. I have no qualms about recommending it for anyone to use.

Lightweight and strong!

I bought this case for a tour I was going to do in Spain. I read some comment that it wouldn't be suitable for air travel but I call BS on that one. Why? Because this is a sturdy case and 'lo and behold - after the tour it didn't have a single scratch on it!

The bass fits snugly and does not move. I also packed cables, preamp, compressor, tuner, strings and some other stuff in there without problem.

The locks are also very sturdy and will not flip open on a whim. Big plus for being able to lock the case without needing external locks!

The ONLY thing missing is wheels. It would've made life on the road easier if I could drag this around.

Fantastic quality case for protecting my P Bass when travelling to gigs and rehearsals. Sturdy and robust and no worries throwing it into the back of our drummer's van! P Bass fits perfectly - highly recommended if you want worry-free transport for your pride and joy.
