Klassischer Jazzbass Ton. Mein Bass mit Erlebody und Palisander Griffbrett besitzt (noch) eine HiMass Brücke und trotzdem zaubert dieser PU einen singenden JB Steg Sound, der holzig mittig rüber kommt, aber noch Bassfundament hat. Am Hals habe ich den Antiquity 2, den es so hier leider nicht gab, der bringt dann noch schönen Growl, aber nicht so brachial wie ein Precision, eher mit silbrigem Glanz, für mich eine Traumkombi. Wer modernere Klänge braucht, eventuell auch mit anderen Hölzern oder Konstruktionen, der muß wohl woanders suchen, sonst könnte es eine leichte Enttäuschung geben.

Wenn die Brücke noch getauscht ist wird der Klang wohl noch etwas mehr Richtung vintage gehen.

Die Bass Antiquities stellen in sofern das Pendant zu den Gitarren Humbuckern dar, welche ich in einer Les Paul Std 60s habe und die dort ebenfalls für einen phänomenalen vintage Ton sorgen.

Fazit: teuer, aber mir sind sie es wert.
