A must have for MKH416

This is a must for every owner of sennheiser MKH 416, because for some voices the mic high frequencies are too pronounced.I still think that the MKH 416 is the world best mic for spoken word recordings but with this windscreen it become a real beast! Recomended !

I bought my used Sennheiser MKH 416 from a private dealer.
This windscreen was not included in the deal because old 416 didn't have this option.
It's quite solid and useful when the wind conditions are not so bad and you don't need the blimp.
I use it also in large interior shooting.

Bonnette pour 416 et autres micros

Rien à dire sur cette bonnette mousse qui va remplacer l'ancienne qui a beaucoup vécu. Indispensable en intérieur quand on perche pour éviter les bruits de vent lors de déplacement rapide. Elle convient aussi au KMR81 de Neumann.

Teuer, aber einwandfrei

Der Windschutz passt einwandfrei auf das MKH-416. An der Verarbeitung gibt es nichts auszusetzen, auch nicht an der Funktion. Das einzige, was schmerzt, ist der hohe Preis für das doch recht einfache Stück Schaumstoff. Andererseits gibt es auch keine wirklichen Mitbewerber, bis auf alternative Windschutze die für mehrere Mikrofone angefertigt sind und nicht speziell für das MKH-416, die preislich auch in etwa gleich liegen. Da habe ich dann lieber direkt zum Original gegriffen, und bis auf den Preis bin ich sehr zufrieden.
