Shure-like sound but more versatile

Yes it is kinda shure style sound I guess. neutral and sounds great. But what I like most is this mic can be shape as different type of characteristic, really helpful feature.

I use it at the hole of bass drum alongside with shure beta 91a and won't ask any better than this in wise price range.

Great mic at a great price

Great mic with a tight sound. Very little bleed over when recording a live performance. The two vintage or modern switch choice on the rear is a nice feature.
I ended up buying three of the V Beat series mics to go with the V Kick for the rest of the kit and I am pleased with the results I've been getting.

Did not match my needs for a nice deep cajon kick sound.

I tweeked and tweeked the EQ with this mic with the sound of my cajon with an API preamp but just coudn't find the right sound. I use an RE320 now and it sounds mutch more demped, deep natural.
