Sehr guter Allrounder

Für meinen Warwick Corvette 5 $$ suchte ich eine etwas andere Klangfarbe und bin dabei auf den Sandberg California gestoßen.

Die Verarbeitung ist topp, er kam super eingestellt und bundrein, nur die E-Saite musste ich wegen etwas härteren Anschlages höher setzen. Der Saitensatz ist OK, mir aber zu dünn und wird ersetzt. Der Hals fühlt sich sehr angenehm an und gehört eindeutig zu den Besten die ich bisher in der Hand hatte. Das gelieferte Gigbag ist sehr einfach gehalten und nur mäßig gepolstert, da habe ich für den Preis etwas mehr erwartet.

Klanglich ist durch die Tonabnehmerschaltung fast alles möglich, er klingt sehr definiert, sauber und klar und deckt damit alle Sparten von Pop, Funk bis Rock ab. Für Metal werde ich aber weiterhin den Warwick nutzen, der hat dafür definitiv mehr Durchschlagskraft und liefert einfach mehr Punch und Druck. Aber genau das zahmere und definiertere habe ich ja auch gesucht.

Alles in allem, ein sehr guter Allrounder, für deftigen Metal aber ein wenig zu zahm.
