Sadowsky SBP-1 - Bass Preamp / DI

Tuner Out stopped working one year after purchase. There was a period of time prior to that when the pedal was making a sizzling noise, eventually one of the Outs died. Never gigged, was just laying on top of my rack at home. The sound is actually ok, but to keep it from distorting I had to turn the volume down to 8-9 o'clock position. That's with a fully passive 4-stringer. The pedal is also very heavy which was not bothering me too much as I was only using it at home but would be a concern when gigging.

I will be selling it soon and will go for Rheingold BP2.

The pedal feels very solid and high quality. Something to take into account - it's not the lightest device but the casing is built to last. The EQ is boost only and it's very powerful - great for passive basses. I used this pedal mostly as a DI box- unfortunately on few occasions during live performance I noticed that it caused noticeable hum in the PA. Not always but it happened and had to run the signal from DI at the back of the amp instead.
