Großartiger Sound, leider nichts für meine Spielweise.

Zunächst zum Positiven: Es ist das am besten klingende Crash, dass ich je gehört habe. Es klingt modern und ausgewogen, gleichzeitig komplex (weniger schrill als ein Evolution, weniger trocken als ein Dual), nie scharf oder unangenehm, sondern breitet immer einen weichen Teppich schimmernder Frequenzen aus. Auch auf Aufnahmen glänzt es.

Das Problem: Damit es so weich klingen kann, muss es auch dünn sein. Und da es so dünn ist, hält es leider einer für Metal ausgelegten Spielweise auf Dauer nicht Stand. Ich habe versucht für meine Verhältnisse so sanft zu bespielen wie möglich. Doch nach 1 1/2 Jahren hat es leider nachgegeben und Risse entwickelt.

Vielleicht werde ich es mir irgendwann nochmal kaufen, dann aber nur noch als Studio-Becken.

Das HHXtrem Crash ist meiner Meinung nach ein erstklassiges Becken und spiegelt die hervorragende Qualität von Sabian Becken wieder. Es bietet eine schnelle Ansprache und ein relativ kurzes Sustain. Der Sound ist dabei angenehm warm und dunkel. Sowohl live, wie auch im Studio perfekt einsetzbar. Absolut empfehlenswert!!
