Ich hatte mir für mein Behringer XM 8500 bereits den Special 80 Windjammer gekauft - da dieser ein wenig zu groß war hab ich nun den 60 probiert und passt perfekt. Wie von den Engländern gewohnt, Verarbeitung und Reduzierung des Windgeräusches bei Interviewsituationen (egal ob rein Audio oder in Verbindung mit Videokamera) einfach fantastisch. Ich besitze bereis fünf Windjammer von Rycote und ich möchte diese im Produktionsbetrieb nicht mehr missen!

Der "Rycote Special 60 Mini Windjammer" hat mich überzeugt. Nach meiner bisherigen Erfahrung würde ich ihn wieder auswählen.

Im Freien bei mäßigem Wind (Rauschen in den Zweigen der Lindenbäume nebenan) waren mit Schaumstoff alleine noch deutliche Windgeräusche als dumpfes Rumpeln in den Lautsprechern der PA-Anlage zu hören. Mit dem zusätzlichen Fellwindschutz wurden die Windgeräusche wirkungsvoll vermieden. Der Klang von Sprache - nur dafür habe ich ihn bisher eingesetzt - wurde dabei nicht beeinträchtigt.

Angebracht habe ich den Fellwindschutz zusätzlich zu einem Schaumstoffwindschutz AKG W32 auf einem Kleinkondensatormikrofon. Er paßt auch über größere Schaumstoffwindschütze mit einem Außendurchmesser von gut 50 mm. Mit dem Kordelzug läßt er sich sicher befestigen.

Wie gut der Fellwindschutz ohne Schaumstoff wirkt, habe ich (noch) nicht ausprobiert.
