This battery is so useful for this amp - it saves carrying endless AA batteries, it lasts longer, and gives the amp slightly more volume. Four stars for two reasons:

1- this is my second battery of this kind, the first one was used heavily and batteries degrade, and eventually it stopped charging after almost three years of use, but it’s good, so repeat purchase.

2- one niggle is you can’t charge the battery and use it to power the amp simultaneously. It uses the amps power cord, so unless you have a backup set of AAs (or a second Roland adapter for the amp), you can’t charge the battery while also using the amp.

Overall this improves the amplifier (Roland Street Cube EX but I believe comparable with other Roland and Boss amps) and lasts longer than using AAs. It charges pretty quickly and I reckon you get at least 18 hours out of it (I think they quote 20 hours), so with charging in between use, it’s great. The amp puts out good power with it in use, comparable to plugged in to an outlet.

Der Roland AC 33 ist für meine Ohren nach wie vor einer der besten batteriebetriebenen Verstärker für Akustikgitarren. (der von vielen so hoch gelobte Bose S 1 beispielsweise klingt dagegen sehr bescheiden). Bisher musste man den AC 33 dafür aber mit einzelnen AA-Batterien bestücken, was nicht in die heutige Zeit passt.
Der neu erhältliche, wieder aufladbare Akku von Roland passt perfekt in das Batteriefach und wird mit zwei Schrauben fixiert.
Fazit: wiederaufladbar, längere Laufzeit, mehr Leistung.
Perfekte Ergänzung - hat aber seinen Preis!

Nachtrag vom 15.03.2023:
Ich habe den vollaufgeladenen Akku den Winter über im Akustikverstärker gelassen mit dem Resultat, dass er jetzt vollständig entladen ist und sich auch nicht mehr aufladen lässt - er ist hinüber!
Ich habe die Bedienungsanleitung nachgelesen: ja, im "Kleingedruckten" steht, dass genau das passieren kann - man soll jede Woche nachladen, auch wenn der Akku nicht in Gebrauch ist! Das ist insofern sehr ärgerlich, weil man auf so einen eklatanten Umstand durchaus etwas deutlicher hätte hinweisen können!
Erst durch anderweitige Recherche habe ich herausgefunden, dass der verwendete Akku-Typ schon bei einer einmaligen "Tiefentladung" komplett zerstört sein kann. So etwas müsste doch deutlich in der Gebrauchsanweisung stehen!!!
Das mindert den Gebrauchswert des Akkus erheblich!!!
Jetzt kann ich die ursprünglich vergebenen 5 Sterne nicht mehr vergeben :-(
