Simple, and great
Need a 3.5mm input into something that only takes XLR? Here is the solution.
Plug it into a line in on an amp for playback tracks, or into a line/mic-input on a mixer to get a simple way to connect a phone/mp3-player/computer/anything to your sound-system.
A simple solution to connecting consumer sources to pro sound systems.

nice passive adapter
Nice adapter but it's worth to mention that it doesn't have Phantom conversion so better be sure it's suitable for your use case

Practical
I've purchased the Rode VXLR to use it with my Rode Filmmaker Kit lav mic system. The filmmaker kit using the small 3,5mm stereo jack so in order to plug the TX (receiver) in my camera XLR ports I needed an adapter. I got this one from Rode and it does it's job perfectly. Fits nicely and locks with the 3,5mm jack to minimize unwanted disconnecting. I've had no problems whatsoever with this adapter. It's build quality is great. Price is awesome so I am recommending this one!

Lovely, sturdy and professional feel.
I bought these to connect my Rode Wireless Go to my Panasonic HC-X1 Video Camera. They are fantastic. No noise, no issues. They are well built, nice weighted and slip into the corresponding slots very easily with no resistance attaching or removing.
Best XLR adaptor I've ever used.

Perfect for its use.
It is solid, well built, and it helps to convert the minijack into XLR in order to connect, for instance, a lavalier microphone into a sound recorder.

Best on the market no doubt about it.
The only solution to plug a mic with mini jack to your mixer. Don't look for any other solutions. A mini jack-jack convertor wont work. It has to be a mic input thus XLR.

Rode VXLR adapter and Zoom H2N
I bought this to use a Dynamic Microphone (t.bone BD 300) with the Line Input on the Zoom H2N as it has 3.5mm type input. There have been reports that the Zoom H2n will not produce a Left and Right Channel from this arrangement but I have not found this to be the case.
This just worked straight away and give both L + R on the Meter.
It is very solidly made.
