Rode Micro Boompole

I bought this boom pole to have as a lighter option to the longer one i already own. The difference in weight is massive. This boom pole is much more manageable than a full sized one. There is a soft grip on it which helps for comfort and for using in cold temperatures as it doesn't get cold on your hands.

There are 3 sections to this pole. There is the base which you hold and 2 extending sections. At full length with a mic at the end, it is more than enough to cover most shooting scenarios. I have found that i am using my longer pole less and less since i bought this one because i rarely need to extend longer than the length of the micro boom pole.

Its great for indoor shooting and provides a more comfortable and lighter alternative to the average pole. It is well made and very sturdy and the locking mechanism is simple and effective.

I would recommend this pole to anybody looking to take some weight off their hands while shooting. It's fantastic.

Being asked recently to do some outside recording I realised I did not have a microphone pole to do the job properly. Not wanting to spend a lot of money, I was dubious with the price of this pole.

Actually it is a very strong and very light pole and really good for the price. I use this with a Rode NTG2 which is a perfect combination due to the weight of the microphone.

The twist lock allows you to adjust to any length you require. The rubber/foam handle is very comfortable for holding the pole for long periods of time.

For the amateur videographer it is really perfect for the job.
