Rockboard PatchWorks Patch Cable CR

I bought 3 packs of these to cable up my pedalboard. Big mistake.
I spent a bit of time putting together the first 5 before trying any of them, they all failed (right angle one side, straight the other).
I got my multimeter out and the tips all worked, but due to the screw going through the wire to hold it in place the body was shorting them all out.
I managed to get a couple working, but only the straight to straight ones.
Very, very frustrating and a complete waste of over £100 and my time.
Not a happy bunny.
