Total disappointment
This is the reason of my bad evening.
Bought it to use with Rockboard pedalboard + Rockboard PSU. Looks cool, but that's all.
1. You have to do an screw-thread in the native pedalboard fof this thing by youself! Guys at the factory were very busy)) DIY!!!
2. It's patch-bay for the XLRs! Guess what?) XLR plugs do not fit in to the pedalboard holes!
3. Connected this thing to the native RB PSU. And it's very very noisy! Spend an hour looking whats the problem. It's this thing!!! Unpluged PSU fron this thing. connected PSU bypassing this thing, and it become less noisey!
Summary: This thing is patch-bay for xlrs, jacks and power.
You can not use this with XLRs and Rockboard pedalbords. You Can not use this with Rockboard PSU. This thing is useless. Waste of money(

Inputs have noise, went back
The jacks in this unit, when used as an input, add noise to the signal. If you search here or online, a bunch of people have written the same thing. Even a friend of mine that uses it says he faces noise in some venues while using these jack inputs. It went back, unfortunately.

Can't imagine using my Rockboard without it
Been using it in my Rockboard 4.2 for over 2 years now. I have a BOSS RC-600 looper on my board along with 11 other pedals, and it makes everything very convenient and tidy. No added noises to the system, no complaints about build quality. Bought an XLR reverser adapter cable so I can connect 2 mics to it, two of the 1/4" outputs are routed as L & R mono outputs from RC-600, and the third jack output is for Stereo Headphone Out, very convenient. 3x 1/4" TRS outputs can be turned into 6x mono in-outs using Y-splitter cables, which is great versatility. The added 9V output great for powering any extra pedals that are not permanently on my board that I might be using or trying out. It saves a lot of time and mess - no fiddling about with cabling, going under the board to connect or route something - just plug what you need in the MOD 3 patch-bay, connect the power cable, and everything works.

I love it!
Makes my board a lot neater and it looks cool too! Perfect for singer/guitarists (like me) or anyone that needs a few xlr ports on top of the normal jacks.

Extremely useful passive connections
Needed this for a pedalboard build a few years back and have used it in a few different routing / signal chains since then.
The other rockboard patchbays look great too but this has the perfect connections for me. The Jack's being TRS for stereo or midi control is great. Makes routing a board with midi controls/foot controller so much neater and easier.
It is also nice for putting my amp foot switch, guitar signal and vocal mic outputs all within a few centimetres. Max setting up at the gig feel like no work at all.

Solid unit, decent range of I/O
I use this in a rack with the Rockboard 1U adaptor. Works great for rack inputs and outputs and covered almost all my connections. Two minor improvements:
1) It would be handy if the XLRs were reversible. I suppose they might be if you can get into the unit, but that's clearly not something Rockboard want you doing.
2) A space for your own labelling would be useful.
Overall very good. Solid build quality, connections all feel sturdy.

Great!
It’s a lovely bit of gear and everything is strong and nicely put together. Jacks may be a bit close for some larger 1/4” plugs but. I’ve not found any yet that don’t fit side by side so, maybe I’m wrong

OK
Paint worn off labels in the box from new
Hard to believe, but quality control on this is so poor that the white paint for the labels, etc was already partially worn off being brand new in the box.

Best RB Mod for guitarist and vocal pedalboard
Easy to install. I used this mod on my RB Cinque 5.2. Since I also sing I have my VE-500 hooked up to the XLR in and outs. To the other review that says xlr cables do not fit in the rockboard pedalboard.... Of course! Buy the rockboard flat XLR cables. That would fit between the RB pedalboard holes.
I use the DC pass through to plug in my QC powerbrick.
I only wish this also had the USB passthrough.
