More time will tell, but so far incredibly good

It's a midi cable at the end of the day so it's hard to get overly excited, but this is definitely one of the nicest I've ever bought. It has a really premium feel to it. I really like the flat head, and most importantly I bought a few and they all work perfectly.

Very decent cable

Very good cable, it does what it has to do.
I was hoping the head of the cable would be a little less high, for set-up purposes. But that's just purely personal in my situation.

Watch the orientation

The pins are oriented so that the cable will be going sideways on all the MIDI equipment that I have, not up or down, as I expected. It's visible in the product images, but I wasn't paying attention, to be honest. Not a bad cable, but beware of the orientation.

Unpraktikabler Winkel

Ein super Winkel-Kabel, wenn nicht dieser Winkel wäre...

Seit 1983 habe ich wirklich sehr viele Geräte mit DIN-MIDI-Buchsen bei mir angesammelt. Bei keinem einzigen könnte ich zwei dieser Kabel nebeneinander einstöpseln. Bei manchen passt noch nicht einmal ein einziges, weil dann irgendeine sonstige Buchse daneben blockiert wird.

Der Winkel ist zwar erfreulicherweise an jedem Kabelende entgegengesetzt (also einmal +90° und einmal -90°), trotzdem finde ich nur selten eine Gerätekombination, wo beides perfekt Sinn ergibt. Es wäre besser, wenn es das Kabel auch mit 180°-Winkeln gäbe, dann würde es für mich an fast allen Keyboards und auf dem Pedalboard bestens funktionieren.

Zufällig passt es jetzt super zwischen meinem Eventide H90 (nur für MIDI In) und meiner BomeBox - dort bleibt der Host-Eingang aber nur haarscharf frei, wobei ich dafür den schmalsten USB-Stecker aus der Grabbelkiste nehmen musste. Und selbst dann muss ich das MIDI-Kabel noch ziemlich heftig zur Seite biegen.

Fazit: Wer ganz sicher ist, dass er nur eine einzige MIDI-Richtung benötigt, und beide Gerätschaften spielen mit, für den kann das Kabel eine sehr praktische Sache sein. Es macht dabei einen stabilen und gut verarbeiteten Eindruck.
