Brilliant Quality Headphone Jack
I needed to buy this jack since my Sennheiser headphones stopped working properly due to a break in the connection where the wire meets the jack. I looked up a video on how to solder the wire to one of these type jacks and said I'd try it out myself. I only know the basics to soldering so you don't need to be an expert to figure it out. I would recommend to wrap a very small piece of insulation tape around the bare wire inside before screwing it closed. This will prevent the connection from shorting in the future.
It seems top quality and has gold plating for an even cleaner connection. Seems even better than what I had before and should last as long as I have the headphones!

It's just a plug, but it's a solid, dependable-feeling plug.
Seems durable, solid, unlikely to come unscrewed or anything. I'm pretty sure the sound improved, too, when I swapped this out for my bent headphone plug (maybe I just made stronger solder connections than on the stock plug; maybe it's just a better piece; maybe it's in my head). Strain relief seems to be working fine. All in all, it's just a 3.5mm plug, but a good one.

Great jack!
Solid build, and good design. Especially because jack is not 100% like on the picture, and have bigger edge so you can plug in mobile phone and other devices without removing case. That is very usefull. Only pay attention on cable diameter when you made your own, because you can't fit standard cables through hole.

It's a simple good plug. I don't need a lot of cables with this kind of connection, I only got a couple. So, I know nothing about better plugs of this type. Rean sounds OK for me. It's like Neutrik but cheaper. It's pretty good and do its job well.
