RAV Labs Vast G Pygmy

This drum is exceptionally well made and has a beautiful sound. I spent a lot of time selecting which key to go for and chose well in the end. It would be good to have sound samples on the Thomann website but YouTube is very helpful. The drum arrived in 5 days from Germany to UK so very good service. This is another reason why it is a shame the UK is leaving the EU.

This is simply a beauty, its an expencive instrument but the product is well made and got a quality feel. Im sure it will provide lots of entertainment for several years to come.

Sound is rich and long lasting. Its well tuned. Also very happy with the scale, that gives you lots of combinations that sound great.

There's really no going around with words when you first play the RAV; the soothing sound will give you with the adjectives. It's an amazing instrument. Surprisingly light to carry as well.

The sound is just amazing. It looks beautiful. Can't stop playing it :)
It is crafted with attention to details, which I like. And the sound is deep, resonating for very long and the scale itself allow easily playing and experimenting.
Now I just wish I bought it earlier.

These RAVs are pricey but you get a lovely instrument for your money. If you've seen the videos online and fell in love with the sound I can confirm that when you get it on your lap you'll like what you hear. Lot's of interesting harmonics and sound effects to play around with - an instrument that lends itself to exploration. Please note that the drum I received was not the blue painted version shown on the Thomann site, but rather the 'indigo' finish you can see for yourself on the RAV site.
