The pad itself feels very sturdy and well built. It’s very practical for every day use both at home and while travelling as it fits snuggly on a 14” snare drum which allows it to be stored in a snare drum case. The different inserts and playing surfaces allow much flexibility allowing you to practices with brushes in addition to the two normal practice surfaces which give variation in feeling and rebound. I would definitely recommend this product.

C'est un pad donc il n'égalera jamais la réalité d'une caisse, mais il est néanmoins un excellent compromis. Assez silencieux, précis, un rebond modéré, il ne fait pas de cadeaux au moindre manque de contrôle. Il est doté d'un deuxième revêtement plus souple et silencieux pour travailler la puissance et d'un cercle pour le "cross stick". Il est de facture robuste et fiable. Prologix est une marque que je recommande, le prix est justifié.

Die Gummiauflage meines alten Pads wurde mit der Zeit immer spröder und härter, so dass ich mich nach einem neuen Pad umschauen musste. Da ich auch mein Besenspiel trainieren wollte, fiel meine Wahl auf das Allin1 Prologix Pad. Wegen des doch sehr hohen Preises, hat die Entscheidung dann noch ein halbes Jahr gedauert, bis ich das Teil bestellt habe, aber es gibt absolut keine Alternative.
Als erstes fällt einem die Verarbeitungsqualität auf. Das ganze Pad fühlt sich schwer und hochwertig an. Es ist mit 13“ fast so groß, wie eine ausgewachsene Snare. Die Basis besteht aus einer 16mm Birkenmultiplex-Platte, die am Rand sauber geschliffen ist. Der besondere Clou: An der Unterseite sind 3 Aussparungen in das Holz eingefräst, um die Haltearme des Snareständers aufzunehmen. Wenn man die Halteklauen des Snareständers festschraubt, greifen die Halter in diese Aussparungen unterhalb der Schlagfläche und stören nicht beim Spielen.
Auf der Oberseite ist ein 12mm hoher Kunststoffrand eingelassen, der den Rim der Trommel simuliert. Es gibt insgesamt 3 Schlagflächen:
1. Grün: hoch gestimmte Snare, 2. Grau: Weich, mit ausreichend Rebound für Technikübungen und geräuscharmes Üben und 3. Weiß: Aufgeraute Kunststoff-Auflage für ein realistisches Besenspiel. Diese Besenfläche neigt dazu, sich schnell zu verziehen, man sollte sie bei Nichtbenutzung absolut plan lagern.
Das Üben auf diesem Pad macht wirklich Spaß, weil es so realistisch ist. Ich benutze es im Set zusammen mit einem Kickpad und einem billigen Moosgummi-Pad. Mein Roland E-Set, was ich eigentlich zu Üben habe, brauche ich kaum noch, seit ich dieses Prologix Pad habe.
Fazit: Absolut empfehlenswert!
