Pro Snake MC 1622
Other reviewers have pretty much said it all but nevertheless read on. This is an exceptional piece of high quality equipment, especially at the price; believe me there is nothing else in this price range that includes speaker sends. This snake is very well built and the stage box is actually compact. The only con is that the cable is very long and heavy and, takes a whole suitcase of its own to cart around, but what do you expect? Its best use would be for the Behringer PMP 3000, 4000 and 6000 range of powered mixing desks, which have 8-12 XLR inputs, jack monitor and Speakon twist outputs. The jack return connectors typically run to male outs on the stage box and you can use XLR ? XLR or XLR - jack mic leads for powered monitors meaning that you can have one multicore running to the stage from 30m (100 feet) away. With an 8 input desk you?ll have the ability to, for example, run 4 mics, 4 DI?s, a 5 piece drum mic set-up using a drum mixer at the desk and still have 3 spare channels for keyboards with either spare DI?s or mic leads by using XLR - jack converters at either end if necessary. Or, you could utilise those for spare returns to additional speakers from the main outputs. So, the pro?s and variables are endless. Don?t be tempted to convert any of the stage box inputs to jack, as some have done. And, don?t be tempted to shorten the mulitcore as you have enough length to run the cable overhead from post ? post in, for example, an outdoor pedestrian area set-up. By the way, I bundled the fan end cables into groups of four with cable ties and colour coded them with electrical tape ... well, 12-16 are grouped for the drum kit.

Great overall but has potential fundamental flawed
Bought as my current multicore was only 8 channels and I needed the extra capacity. I’m more than happy with its sound performance and general build quality but it has a flaw that could stop setting up a show in its tracks. The first time I used it half the numbers had come off the tails before it made it out the van. This meant I had to spend precious time tracing those channels, time I didn’t really have. I’ve since labelled them all again and I’ve used it a number of times now with no other problems. My advice if you’re thinking of buying one is sure, go right ahead it’s great but the first thing you MUST do is label the tails properly!! Don’t get caught out like I did with a 12 piece band waiting to sound check and the clock ticking on a road closure!

Incredible value
Ordered this snake, and was very pleased with the build quality, and overall aesthetics.
Pros:
Cables have a nice mesh sleeving around them that makes them blend into a system and not stand out at all. very sturdy metal construction. Nice handle on the end of the box that makes moving it quite easy.
Cons:
Cable sleeving was just a little thin on two of the speaker returns for my taste, but as they're farther down on the sound board, they're less noticeable.

Pro snake review
Superb, quality item. Makes connection from desk to stage so easy and at a distance that suits most venues. Well made and sturdy, the only improvement would be to have at disconnectable cable at the box end.

Since i bought this i have had no regrets. It is extremely long and useful. I have had it for over 4 years now and it is still working perfectly

Ideal for powered desk
Had this a couple of months now, have been pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price, is great not having to run speaker wires to desk any more. Although one speakon on desk end was numbered wrong, but soon sorted that.

Very Good Product
This product is for use at a mobile Church and it has proved very useful. A bit of challenge with handling & transportation due to the bulky nature of the cable but this has been compensated for by the different aspects it came with making setting up and packing up so easy and quick with sound output very superb and won't trade it for any other thing at this point in time

Ideal
I use this snake for a small performance venue, I have a mixer to match the number of channels and the selection of cables is perfect. The XLR ports are excellent,t the bonus of having speaker ports and jack ports also on the run is excellent. The quality of the cable is brilliant, the stage box is a great build and is very study. The quality of the cable at the mixing is great, I have been using this cable run for a number of months now and not treating it particularly well and it is holding up perfectly.

Great multicore
I bought this for my school's Rock band and I'm delighted that I did!
This is a really well made unit with enough inputs for most setups. It's very useful having returns, too so monitoring can be done through the same unit. Cable quality is great and comes prenumbered, which is very useful.
A warning: it's heavy - heavier than it looks. I keep mine a hefty plastic box, although a wheeled suitcase would work better. It's also pretty bulky, too. That said, it's incredibly robust and will hopefully last us for a long time.
A good selection of ins and outs (XLR, jack and speakon) sweeten the deal. This is a well made, well priced piece of kit.

pro snake MC 1622
Superb bit of kit easy to work with given it's length, nice compact head with numbered xln male plugs. Now looking for the same head with a shorter 10mtr length. Highly recommend.
