bought it for cheaper spare violin of my daughter. her no.1 uses thomastik dominant as her teacher recommended. this was luthiers choice according to my budget. dominant set sounds much better but this set also play and feel right.

I bought those strings for a small cretan lyraki to tune it a step higher (without the first E string of course, just the A, D, ang G strings). I believe it's an excelent choice for the price!

Seit Jahren sind die Stahlsaiten von Pirastro mit dem Namen Chromcor erste Wahl.
Chromcor Saiten halten die Stimmung innerhalb von ca. 2 Stunden nach dem Aufziehen und sind danach auch in der Stimmung sehr verläßlich und stabil. Sie sind außerdem extrem haltbar. Die ideale Saite für Anfänger, die ihr Instrument noch nicht selbst stimmen können.
Ich persönlich schätze sie aus dem Grund sehr. Für den Sound ziehe ich einen Stern ab - Stahlsaiten sind aus Stahl und klingen auch so. Der Klang ist hell, strahlend - und metallisch hart. Wer weiche Klänge auf einer Geige haben möchte, muss Kunststoff-, Carbon-, oder Darmsaiten spielen.
Zu diesem Produkt speziell: die Chromcor Saiten für 1/4 - 1/8 Geige sind genauso ein hervorragendes Produkt wie die für die großen Geigen in Qualität und Haltbarkeit. Würde sie immer wieder kaufen.
