Poor output volume
This pickup was recommended by a Thomann employee as suitable for a steel-string acoustic. It was only after I had installed it that I realised that the box was marked "Nylon String Guitar".
I contacted Thomann and had an online discussion with Ayleen who was very helpful. She said that she had contacted the supplier and there shouldn't be any problems, She thought it odd that I found the volume very low. I agreed that I would try it out on another amplifier.
I have now tried this on a Peavey KB1 acoustic amp and my Orange Crush 35T. I both cases with the pre-amp at maximum I have to set the main amp volume very high - if I plugged in my Les Paul at that level it would be deafening.
The setup is barely usable, I would return it but that would leave me with two unsightly holes in my guitar!
