Not cheap but great
Neutrik plugs aren't the cheapest out there, but not too expensive either - and they're strong, have a good strain relief, are easy to solder, and feel reliable all over. Whenever I buy premade cables it's going to be whatever happens to be OK and available, but whenever I solder my own, I always tend to go for Neutrik.

Neutrik - a stage standard
classic Neutrik top notch quality. I use this jacks to connect FOH desk to my IEM system. These are top quality and easy to solder even with the thickest cables.
