Compact and convenient
This is a great alternative to a DI box and is a lot more compact.
I run my pedalboards on batteries and don't need a ground lift switch so this works perfectly as it also doesn't lower my volume like a passive DI.
There's also protection for my effects with a TRS output. I previously used TRS to XLR adapters, but then learned I could actually get them fried if the sound guy sends me phantom power. There is no concern with this product due to it having the transformer and the jack being a TS one which cannot carry phantom power.

sucks the ground hum
I got it for my really noisy Electribe SE. However it ended further in the chain, between the zoom r16 (used as audio interface) and monitor. Completly eliminating the ground hum on other amps connected with signals on the Zooms inputs. A must have for setups with multiple amps.

Good for line signals
Works fine with line signals, active guitars and pedalboards. Case opens up into two halves for easier access to internals. Quite lightweight too.
