Goodbye P blasts

The Neumann KMS50 is a wonderful vocal mike but still not totally immune to P blasts, particularly with inexperienced performers. I tried a cheapo wind gag but it was not completely effective and dulled the sound. This official Neumann gag really does do the job and its rather large size also helps to keep the user at a sensible distance from the mike. Not cheap but, nevertheless, effective

Cette bonnette est de taille énorme !
C'est affreux à regarder mais ça fait le job.
Pas de pop, pas de bruit de vent, pas de dégradation du son, bref, ça fait ce pourquoi on l'a choisi.
Mais je crois qu'elle ne va pas me servir souvent lol, vu la taille, tout le monde aura le reflex de la retirer car c'est trop énorme.

Mikrofone im Verleih werden doch ab und an regelrecht vollgesabbelt. Um das etwas hygienischer zu machen und mein teures Neumann zu schützen, hab ich mehrere von den Schaumstoffen, die sich mit Spülmittel und Wasser wieder reinigen lassen.
