R
The best of resonators

Since a few months I was looking for and comparing resonator guitars. Of course every musician know National guitars from Paul Simon's song and Mark knoppfler. After a while I decided to go for this re-issue of the 1937 model. I had no expérience whatsoever with resonators but I knew that I could order with confidence because National has a certain reputation. I was told that a tricone would have a bit more sustain but I was really surprised by this guitar . It's christal clear, sustain enough and answers to every move you make on the fretboard. I am not a specialist but after three weeks I started to be friends with this instrument. If you have good ears, just listen to,its voice and tey to find your iwn chords on this guitar. I have it always in open D at this moment and constantly finding new things. It's easy to play and very well made. I am still wondering which slide to play but both glass and copper work well. I guess copper is somewhat more quiet while glass is so clear and bright. If you want to discover slide playing on a good original guitar then this is the one for you! I am only writing this to help because finding the right one is sometimes difficult. The main thing is that you can buy this without wondering about the outcome. Nationals are GOOD. Also had a nice contact with the builders when I has some questions about care. Chuffed to bits with my new friend !
