I find this as a good cheap Swiss army knife for recording IR's. Gets the job done if you can't be bothered or can not use a loud amp.

UPDATE : A few years later. I thought I would compare my RADAR to the much hyped NUX MG300 and believe me don't bother. The RADAR is far superior when it comes to the actual sounds and reproduction.

UPDATE 2: OK I tried a Pod Express lately and gee was underwhelmed! I thought being a newer IR sim device it would make the RADAR sound average, to my disbelief it too was no match for the RADAR!
