Good strap, poor cord

The main suede part of the strap is great; looks good, is comfortable, and very easily adjustable.

I bought this for a mandolin that only has one strap pin, at the tailpiece, so need to tie it to the headstock. The provided cord for this is not great; it's very thin; if you tie/untie a knot a few times it will start to de-strand and unwind. Knots made in cord this thin can also be difficult to undo.

If you intend to tie this on once and leave it on then this may not be an issue, but I only attach the strap when needed and the cord noticeably degraded to the point where I no longer trusted it. I replaced it with a thicker piece of lace from a local fabric store that cost just a few cents. Otherwise nice.

Sehr schöner Gurt

Es ist wirklich ein toller Gurt.
Verwende ihn für meine Irish Bouzouki.
Das Design ist besonders und zeugt von schöner Handwerkskunst.
Das Polster ist gut verarbeitet und aus Stoff. Der Stoff zieht Fussel statisch an, da wird man immer mal wieder reinigen müssen.
Besonders positiv ist zu erwähnen, dass das Polster auf dem Gurt verschiebbar ist, somit sollte wirklich jeder ihn passend für sich einstellen können.

Etwas schade finde ich, dass gerade bei einer Handarbeit das Fadenende der umlaufenden Naht auf der Vorderseite ist. Es stand also der Faden im Sichtbereich ab.
Scheint ein generelles Thema bei dem Hersteller zu sein, da dieses auch bei einem anderen Gurt der Fall war.
Alles in allem trotzdem ein toller Gurt, den ich jederzeit wieder kaufen würde.
