it's a good stander if you sing standing. If you use the whole extention of the giraffe neck and sit down, the base will result too small to hold the weight of the mic (in my case a shure sm58).
I like the one hand height regulation method, very handy.

This stand was fine for about 2/3 years
It was perfect and then just went one day. I guess it's to be expected from a stand eventually but it did feel too soon. When it works its great though

Base is dangerously light
Overall, this is a well-made product, marred by the fact that it is very unstable when fully extended. I like my mic stand to be in the "Brian May" position (i.e. fully extended and the upper bar horizontal. When the mic was attached, it overbalanced. I filled the base with a cement mortar, and it's better now, but still liable to fall over without a lot of effort. I pinched a finger quite badly when moving the the height adjustment fitting, so beware of that too.
On a gig recently, it toppled over mid song; most embarrassing.
