A decent arm for the money.
S.R.M 15.01.2022
I bought a Shure SM58 and simply wanted an arm stand for it. This option was inexpensive and seemed like it would fit the bill, so here we are! I've had this arm for 6 months, so I hope my long-term use is useful to some.

The good:

- The quality is decent. The metal is quite sharp in some places, but generally it feels sturdy enough. The clamp to the desk has never needed tightening or adjustment in the past 6 months, so that gets a good grade!

- Swivel options are fine. It's quite flexible and allows you to tighten both the mic section and the table clamp section. I have needed to re-tighten these several times a month, so they seem to be quite bad at staying tight (depends on your use though)

The bad:

- Arm likes to flop down randomly sometimes. This seems to be a common issue, but you do get what you pay for in the end.

- Sometimes it can also be hard for the arm to stay down! This is clearly down to the tension of the springs, but it can really be quite erratic on occasion.

- Cable management is non-existant. You can't expect every feature for such a cheap price!

If you need something cheap I would still recommend it. Personally I will be upgrading to a more expensive arm eventually. It's pretty good for the price, so I would say if you can't afford anything else, it's definitely still a good product!

Does the job

Good table arm, the foam/gum pads wher it mounts to the table don't really last and they've gotten themselves dislodged from being mounted to the table, but I've added extra padding of my own - docked a star for that; but for the price it's quite good.

Low price, but it works!
DrCheese 28.01.2023
This is by far the cheapest table attached microphone boom arm sold by Thomann so it would be unfair to expect it to be super-luxurious.
The four springs intended to hold the boom in the desired position are a little noisy and resonant. This could prove problematic if the boom arm is moved during a recording or something else causes it to vibrate.
Only comes with a 5/8" mic clip threading so buy an adapter if you think you must have the narrower 3/8" threading.
In its default set up it proved too weak to hold a Shure SM7B; stretching the two springs into the higher tension position (there are only two positions) seems to have addresses that. Overall, it requires a little more patience to get it into a desired position that the more expensive Rode PSA-1.
Table clamp works well.
In summary, great for the money, but if you need luxury and exceptional performance, budget for a bit more.

Good option for home studio

I like it having on my table, so I can record something any time. You need to take care of standing position, sometimes it may drop if the angle is too extreme

Functional but not sturdy enough

I wish there were more options to fix the adjusted positions in place. It is nonetheless a functional mic stand.

Bras Millenium

Decent for the price

While its not the worlds best boom arm, its also 20€... Desk clamp is strong. You cannot choose every position for the mic, the boom works best in a few positions, however was not a problem at all. Only if you want a weird boom position will it be a problem, like all the way extended straight...

RH
Great budget mic holder
Richard H. 873 18.08.2023
This item is well built and very sturdy. I also have the version that has the integrated mic cable which is actually the better option for a bit more money. However for the price this is perfect for the beginner home studio. The only gripe I have, with the particular one that I got, is that the springs are quite strong and so can be sometimes difficult to balance depending on the weight of the microphone being used. However, it is easy to remove a spring to reduce tension if needed.

Amazing for the price
Jonas Lange 02.04.2021
You get what you pay for. The arm sits in the base screwed to the desk a bit strangely and the friction chips off the paint in there, but once it's in it's in. It holds my AT2020 nicely and has just about the right tension to hold it at the heights I need it at. At first, the microphone would sort of slowly wander down when set at an height, but using a 7mm spanner to tighten the nuts on the center hinge made the arm a lot stiffer and now it holds the microphone safely at just about any height you'd want it. A bit more awkward than super easy to use tightening screws, but hey, look at the price. The springs sometimes budge around when moving it around much, snapping into place. It makes a "twangy" sound but doesn't really seem to be an issue. I wired my cables to the underside with cable ties and it looks good. Yeah, all together it does exactly what it should. It's not premium but definitely solid and a good value.
