Galvanically corroded into a mic clamp
Worked fine for years for my sm58. Today I wanted to get the clamp off, and ended up needing two pairs of locking pliers, a bench vise, and half a meter of flat bar to get leverage to pry the two parts off each other. There was this white crud, that had some green in it. My guess is that it's the exact same thing you get from a leaky battery. The mic clamp is brass, so I guess this screw is zinc plated steel, because steel itself would be fine.
I'll continue using mine, but I added grease in the hope it helps in the future.
