when you're on a tight budget
This beater works. It's nothing fancy and it probably won't last you a lifetime if you're a very enthusiastic drummer, but then again - if you play double pedal, you're probably looking for a different shape anyway. The large felty surface tickles the perfect amount of low end out of my 20" Ludwig Classic Maple. However, it's much harder than I expected it to be and I do quite like that. Nothing rattles, nothing seems to come off at any second and the tone is great. Maybe I will update in a few months though and see if it is still in one piece.

More boooom
After the first three months on my second hand kit which came with a Millenium double pedal I decided to get myself an "old style" beater instead of using the cube shape one with plenty of plastic on it and a look i just can't get used to. When I first played a bit of drums 30-odd years ago the beater looked like a beater. Anyway I got this one. At first I was surprised it is pretty hard material used - as it actualy said in the discription for it - it looks much fluffier in the picture. Though the difference in weight is ever so slighty - the new one has 12gram more - the over all lenght is the same, it makes a difference not only in the sound, it also makes the feel of the pedal board under the foot somewhat different. I converted the double pedal into a single one a while ago and speed is not really a main focus with my kick drum playing at this stage as a beginner (4th month now). It could be that it is a little slower but the warm "boom" it creates is definately worth a try for this little money. At some point I think of getting a soft felt beater for a bit more money but this can wait. For now I'm glad I got myself this one.

Surprisingly balanced.
Plays well. For such a cheap thing. It's got more attack than I expected, and it's not light but this feels like any other classic felt pedal.
It's just a few grams short (almost 90 grams) compared to the heaviest beater I got: the Gibraltar wood beater, which is just over 90 grams. The weight difference is only about 5-7 grams.
You will never spend your 5 bucks wrong on this.

Very Fluffy
I dislike my bass drum to have a lot of attack and this is the one I would recommend if you are the same as me.
It feels great to play with and it's lasted me since 2012

Great Value
I had no problem to use this beater - it slid right into my bass drum pedal and was roughly the same dimension as the more expensive beater it replaced. I actually bought two of these, one to use and one as a spare. The second one is still in the packaging as the first is still going strong and shows no signs of breaking. Great value for the price.

no problems thus far
a drum beater that does exactly what its supposed to do. The felt is a little it less smooth in comparison to higher priced articles but that's about all the difference I could find. However it does not work for all drum pedals. It does work with newer iron cobras but not with my older model, works with my old camcos.

Yes that's it!
That's one of the best thing that was made by Millenium - it just works without any problems. And the price is very nice. So take it.

Beater head is a bit smaller than expected.
Very good quality though and should last a while.
As other people have mentioned, the plastic was a bit of a pain to remove from it though. It seems to be almost shrink wrapped onto the head during manufacturing before it was screwed together, for some reason.
Got nearly all of it off by picking at it for a few minutes.
But it was ¤5, c'mon.
