Millenium 14"x3,5" Piccolo Steel Snare

I have a DW collectors snare and I probably would not be able to tell them apart in a blind test in terms of sound, some lugs unscrew easily (although considering it's a 10 lug drum it doesnt affect the sound very much) and the throw off is a bit wobbly, but for that price you would be mad to expect something better, I'm relly satisfied! This is a great little piccolo snare, sounded good out of the box, but even better when highly tuned. I have changed to Evans heads and it now sounds better than ever and more to my tastes.

i was looking for cheap snare to complete the drum kit i was selling, and for that price, millenium piccolo steel was my choice.
i put remo ps3 on it, and a was surprised by the tone. just wow! i could not believe how good it is.
the down side: it is not quality made snare drum, the lugs and thrower are really cheap, and you need to tune it often.
but for that price, this is really good snare drum.

decent, very good for the price

I needed a second spare snare drum after giving my last one to my grand daughter. After looking at a lot of option I opted for this one, and I am not disappointed. It punches well above it's price level, crisp sounding and really fast responses. Money well spent. Well done Thomann.

Surprisingly good snare. I bought it because it has 12 lugs and I needed a new hoop for my Ludwig Coliseum snare. I did the stupid thing and played the drum before splitting it for parts and it sounded amazing! Now I can't get myself to destroy the drum and it gets used quite a lot as an extra snare.

Bought this as a main snare for hardore band and it pings great with fresh heads on and can take a beating, only problem is there is a few inconsistencys in the body fo the snare with random lips and bits that poke out where they shouldn't but nothing so dramatic that it causes a problem, holds tune fairly well however I do hit extremely hard so with normal play im sure it would hold up amazingly.

Lovely sound great for the quality but the throw off has become very stiff
