Ich habe die damals komplett neue Serie "Meinl Brush & Stick" in einem Musikgeschäft vor Ort gesehen und gleich die 7-8 (damals verfügbaren) Paare ausprobiert. Bis dato habe ich schon viele andere Marken, Modelle, Konfigurationen an Sticks gespielt. Schlussendlich empfand ich die 5B Standard Long am ausgeglichensten mit guter Balance und für mich passendem Durchmesser, also mitgenommen.
Nach über einem Jahr Spielzeit (nicht mehr nur mit dem ersten Paar) lernte ich immer mehr die Vorzüge der etwas verlängerten Sticks kennen: Nicht nur dass die Balance und der Rebound scheinbar endlos sind sondern auch die entspanntere Spielweise aufgrund der etwas größeren "Reichweite" lassen mich wohl noch lange zu diesem Paar Sticks greifen. Klare Kaufempfehlung für alle, die gerne etwas "mehr" Stick in der Hand haben.

Ich wurde auf dieses Paar aufmerksam, da ich seit Jahren mit Vorliebe die 5b Extreme von Vic Firth spiele.
Nach 3 shows und einer kompletten Produktion einer Death-Metal Platte kann ich nur sagen, dass die Meinl Sticks auf ganzer Linie überzeugen. Kein lästiges Absplittern des Tips, eine generell längere Lebensdauer und trotzdem eine super Balance. Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung.
