Great ergonomics, but disappointing durability
The Hook One is one of the most comfortable shoulder rests I’ve used. It is incredibly lightweight and ergonomically excellent, providing a very natural feel while playing.
However, it has some serious durability issues. The rubber feet wear out quickly and need frequent replacement. More importantly, the screw threads are cut directly into the wood. After adjusting the legs only a few times, the holes expanded to the point where they no longer hold the feet securely. For such a well-designed rest, the build quality of these critical parts is a letdown.
Pros: Extremely light, superb ergonomics.
Cons: Short-lived rubber feet, wooden threads strip easily.
