Good for live and recording
A great combination of features which I haven't seen in other interfaces of the same price range:
- Enough inputs to have all your instruments connected and ready for action;
- 6 input gain controls, really helps for boosting instruments with low level line outputs;
- 2 headphone outputs with individual volume controls;
- Direct monitoring;
- All XLRs are on the rear panel, you can lay the cables neatly;
- Works even without powering up the PC.
I don't know a thing about recording quality, but for a live performance this unit is just great.
I tried first NI Komplete 6 and Focusrite 8i6, M-Audio has won the competition, mainly because it allows to set gain level for line inputs.

Good looking and works great.
Looks and feels good! All the knobs and buttons feel sturdy and of high quality. The placement of the ports are great, stuff you never touch hidden away on the back and things you plug in and out all the time easily accessible from the front.
The only two minor drawbacks is that you cant monitor specific channels only which is a bit of a pain, and the volume knobs for the two headphone jacks are a bit small and hard to reach.
But other than that it is pretty great!

Great product
I enjoy using m-audio 192/14. The sound is excellent, and the guitar connection gives surprisingly good sound

not an Apollo but better for the price
You wouldn't compare it to Apollo but for the price, this interface is fabulous
