This LP Shaker is brilliant for using on the drum set.

First of all, it is well built and sturdy, the weight is good and the grip is rubber, meaning it won't slip if you are playing in a heated venue.

It is loud enough for play along with a drum set groove, and it's not too loud that it won't sit in with the kit.

Also, the black finish is great, something I personally like as I don't like holding big bright yellow and orange shakers, it is very low key.

Von allen Shakern (man sammelt ja irgendwann) ist dieser über die Jahre mein Lieblings-Shaker geworden. Die Liebe geht sogar so weit, dass ich inzwischen zwei davon habe.

Ich spiele ihn sowohl bei kleinen unplugged-Gigs in Verbindung mit Cajon als auch auf großen Bühnen (mit Drum-Set) und er macht immer eine Gute Form.

Der Dynamikumfang ist perfekt: Von leise (bei Unplugged-Gigs nicht zu aufdringlich) bis laut (über die Overheads bei großen Gigs noch gut wahrnehmbar) kann man den Shaker überall einsetzen.

Die Oberfläche bietet guten Grip und durch die Gummierung kann man damit auch bedenkenlos mal einen Kessel oder Becken am Drumset zum erklingen bringen.

Anders als bei anderen Shakern mit Kunststoff-Teilen ist die Haltbarkeit von diesem Shaker absolute Spitze. Nach einigen Jahren hat er zwar die ein oder andere Schramme, jedoch keine Löcher oder Brüche.

Zudem (aber das ist zugegeben total subjektiv) empfinde ich die Ansprache sehr angenehm. Der Shaker "schwimmt" nicht, sondern lässt einen präzisen sound walten.
Auf der anderen Seite: Wer einen Shaker sucht, den man als sound-teppich spielen kann, ist hier nicht zu gut beraten.

Hier bekommt man einen klaren "chick"-Sound, der z.B. beim Spiel mit Cajon eine Hi-Hat perfekt substituieren kann.
